The Hernandez Elementary Pirates Had A Blast For Our Stack Up! Event This Year! We Combined Our Event With Our Quest To Success Week, Where We Invited Members Of The Community To Speak To Our Students About Exploring College, Career, And Post-secondary Readiness. After Speaking To The Student Body, Members Of The Military, Fire Department, Police Department, And The Northern New Mexico College Women's Basketball Team Stacked With Our Students. Activities Included Stacking Competitions With Timers And A Dribble-and-stack Relay With The Basketball Team. The Students Taught The Community Members How To Stack Before The Competitions.

Other Options For The Students During Their 30 Minutes Was Race The Teacher, Stalagmite Challenge, Tower Challenge, And Pyramid Building. One Of My 4th Grade Classes Build A 26 Story Pyramid!
