Martin
Eyles (PDM) and his colleague Sarah Robson, have helped to introduce
Sport Stacking into their partnership of schools and many of the students
are already producing fantastic times!
When they invited their schools to the competition they got an enthusiastic
response, many of the schools have their own Sport Stacking Clubs and this
was the first opportunity for the students involved to compete in competition.
Although
Sport Stacking is a recent addition to the partnership they have already
been represented at the highest level.
Hanna Loveday
a student from Chelmsford was selected for the Great Britain Team and
competed at this year’s World Sport Stacking Championships which
were held in the U.S.A.
Hanna was so keen to compete she interrupted a family holiday to travel to
Denver, Colorado, and was rewarded when her relay team in the 11 & under
age group took silver in their division! Well done Hanna!
Speed Stacks
helped to run the event which included the Individual 3-3-3 Stack,
Individual 3-6-3 Stack & Timed 3-6-3 Team Relay.

were very close, top honours for the 3-3-3 Stack went to:

were awarded for 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd places in both individual 3-3-3 & 3-6-3

Medals were also awarded to the top three teams in the Timed 3-6-3

In addition,
the fastest school team in the timed 3-6-3 Relay “Tyrells
School” were also awarded the Chelmsford School Sport
Partnership Cup and have become it’s first holders.
The school will keep the cup until the next partnership competition where
I’m sure the other schools will be trying even harder to take it
from them….
Note: Speed
Stacks are the only cups allowed in competitions as set out in the
rules of the WSSA (World Sport Stacking Association). |
