"I have been lucky enough to be chosen to present mini-workshops/seminars for teachers in our area. The subject being... Physical Education: Appropriate Practices - Management to Activities to Assessment Ideas.

The Lane ESD (Educational Service District) received a PEP grant this year and have asked 5 of us to present. I have been presenting management ideas, Stacking and other Activity ideas as well as thoughts on how to assess.

Everyone has just loved the Speed Stacks portion of the workshops! Most of the attendees are Elementary Classroom Teachers with some Middle School Teachers and some Physical Educators. They are excited to learn activities with minimal set-up and appropriate for all. I have worked with staff only as well as going into schools and teaching for a half-day or a full day with the teachers observing. There seems to be the greatest enthusiasm for Speed Stacks! They want to know more and how their schools can get a class set.

I also was asked to present a workshop for members of our Teachers Union in the beginning of February. It was fantastic! Originally we opened it to 35 participants. There were 15 people on the waiting list... so we took 40. We had to limit it because we were working in an Elementary Gym and wanted to assure everyone some safe space! Remarks from the participants were that this was "the best workshop they had ever been to!" ...including their academic specialty events and all! That was great to hear. Again, Speed Stacks was a huge hit!
