Denver, Colorado, is the exciting destination for a team of children from Frith Manor Primary School all because of their passion for a new sport called speed stacking.

The school, in Lullington Garth, Woodside Park, has been seized by the craze which has taken over playgrounds nationwide, and is now sending a team to test their wits and skills against teams from around the globe at the April World Championships.The sport involves the children arranging plastic cups in different pyramid shapes as quickly as they can without knocking any over or making any mistakes."They're so excited," said Caroline Cranswick, PTA chair and mother of Frith Manor pupil and keen stacker Georgia.
"We think we are in the only UK school going," she said, adding that the team members are self-funded and are still looking for sponsorship.The team of nine children accompanied by seven parents and two supportive siblings will fly out on April 6 to pit themselves against the world's best, returning on April 11.
