Want
a great tip for
sleep-over activities for teenagers? |
|

Amazing... That's
how Kit Fox described his short stint on the May 18th edition
of the Today Show. Kit did a great
job teaching Anne Curry how to stack - live! "It was awesome to actually
be right on the set that I see every morning." Fourteen-year-old
world-class sport stacker, Kit Fox, was invited to New York City
to be part of a segment featuring sleep-over activities for teenagers. What
better than sport stacking with Speed Stacks?
Monthly Today
Show contributor Stephanie Oppenheim thought so and awarded
Speed Stacks with an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Award. (Check

Sport
stacking is a hit in the Green Room, too... Backstage,
the green room was filled with kids who were also going to
be part of the segment demonstrating the other products...and
once they saw Kit warming up, they all wanted to learn how
to sport stack.
Kit
gave the kids a quick lesson, and soon the green room was filled
with the sound of swishing cups! |

All
of the parents, NBC staff and even Larry King (who was also in
the green room) were amazed at
- how
quickly the kids learned,
- how much fun they were all having,
- how it kept them occupied for the hour of waiting time before
their turn on-air. Speed Stacks were definitely the hit of the
party!

As
for Kit, the highlights of his experience included showing
Ann Curry how to sport stack, watching Katie Couric run through
the NBC studio on her way out to the plaza, meeting up with Eric
McCormack in the stairwell (as in Will on Will & Grace), and sharing
sport stacking with staff and other Today Show guests
(including Larry King) in the green room. "It was
a blast to be in New York City and be part of this show," Kit said. "It's
an experience I'll never forget!" |
